Headphones you regretted buying the most

I spent a week regretting my IE8 after the intial mid bass shock.

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

Quote: I experienced that 'grainy' sensation with all three open Senns I own, HD600, HD595, PX100. It gradually disappears with use and leaves you with details and relaxation.

    HD650 or other suggestions?

Better advice may come if you let the forum know whether you intend to get out of the audiophile game at the end of these purchases or wish to continue to upgrade your equipment.

HD600 is in post office now, what AMP to get ?

Why not give it a listen on your current gear for a while? If you find they are lacking in some way, ask again for the solution.

    Sennheiser IE8 Impressions Thread

@Kona You might want to try adjusting the bass screw to extend the IE8 bass a little deeper. Also, try different tips for a better seal. I can't understand the 'muddy' description for the bass. Yes there's a hump in the mid-bass, but there is so much mid-range detail and the separation is...

    A closed design/portable equivalent to the HD595

The HD 595 is pretty easy to listen to for long periods and very comfortable to wear. If he's looking for a nice relaxing sound, smooth, detailed, non fatiguing - the IE8 could well do it.

    Denon C751, 1st IEMs

I loved my Denon C700, they were great for indie and rock, especially some of my old rolling Stones and David Bowie that need good mid range presentation to enjoy. But, folks around here with your taste in music often prefer the Atrio.
