    Phillips Citiscape Uptown (Question for anyone else that owns it.)

    I'm using a hippo box with the uptowns, and the bass goes from non existent to "can actually feel it", and the gain is sufficient to give it the volume boost you're looking for. Plus it doesn't mess with the clarity. Good pair in my opinion, and within your price range. not a DAC though.
