[IMPRESSION] FiiO RC-UE1 - Replacement Cable for Ultimate Ear
Just had one arrive. Bought from Amazon. Was DOA (touching the jack causes the audio to become mono). Not happy. Going back in the morning. -
I have my hands ON the Sony X1000 Walkman - Impressions / Discussions
In response to ramintop: Exactly the same thing happened to me. Just bought a X1060 used and couldn't get it to connect, but it would charge ok. Bought a new connection cable, and all was fine. Hope that helps.- Detritusdave

What else would I like, if I like this ? . . . . .
Try Machinefabriek, Fennesz, Svarte Greiner. All excellent. Boomkat has an excellent selection of this kind of stuff, usually in lossless download as well. Boomkat - Your independent music specialist- Detritusdave

What DAP/PMP has most disappointed you?
Cowon A3 - no matter what I did, and irrespective of headphones used, I could never get a sound that I liked. Everything just sounded very bland, clinical, and with a strangely metallic 'sheen' to it that I hated.- Detritusdave

album art on sony player using itunes & a mac?
Just got an Ipod Touch, but was using Sony with mac until very recently. It was very hit and miss for me. Problems I found mostly connected to file name length, which is just absurd - sometimes made the player not read tags, let alone album art! I changed to using Media Monkey via windows on...- Detritusdave

Best open non-amp headphones for ambient music? ($150-$350)
Love Bass Communion as well Some will disagree with me, but I love my Grado SR80 for ambient/drone kind of music. I've heard some say they think the Grado's are too forward for ambient, but personally they are my go to headphones for this style.- Detritusdave

Had it happen once, with e530. Stupidly put them in after I'd only just got out of the bath (i know... dumb thing to do). Had to get my ex-wife to pull it out with tweezers....- Detritusdave
