Out of the box, A-Bing the HD 25-1 and my WELL burnt in Denon D1001s, i'm really favoring the SQ of the Denons. Mainly the forward vocals (not sure whether I prefer or not) and the narrow soundstage of the HD 25-1s weren't what I was expecting coming from the D1001 sound. Whats the estimate...- Bigmike34

Thanks for the response. I just noticed that the 650 cable is 1/4 inch and I was planning on picking up the HD 25 as part of a future portable rig. I will see what the stock cable has to offer before looking at potential replacements.- Bigmike34

Quick question for those who have replaced their cables: Is it as simple as plugging out the stock cable and plugging in, say, part 092885 (HD650 cable)? The phones and the cable would come out to about $120 and i'm thinking it might be a steal.- Bigmike34

Sennheiser HD 25-1 II $100 @ Newegg
Also important is that it is part of a 24 hour sale. The clock is at 16:06:00 and counting down. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this deal. Certainly a luxury purchase but $99 seems like a steal.- Bigmike34

Sennheiser HD 25-1 II $100 @ Newegg
Hmm, i'm having a hard time not jumping on this deal as I had been eyeing these @ the $200 price point a year ago. Right now my only phones are the Denon D1001s, anyone know how the HD 25-1 II compares SQ-wise? Also, i'm planning on picking up a ZuneHD/iPod Touch later this year, anyone know if...- Bigmike34

Sony Walkman NWZ-X1000 (UK out NOW, US version out mid-June)
Like others, i want to hear about the quality of the web browsing experience and a solid price point. I still think its a really bad move waiting until summer to release this player. With new Zunes coming in the fall, I'm almost forced to wait until november to see if MS one ups this player.- Bigmike34

Deal on iRiver LPlayer 4GB - $50 @ NewEgg
If anyone is interested, about an hour in, first impressions: The video is actually pretty good. The screen is small & vibrant but I used to watch the occasional clip on my old H320 (first mp3 player and what a standard it set) so 2" is ample. Plan on transferring the season finale of True...- Bigmike34

Deal on iRiver LPlayer 4GB - $50 @ NewEgg
And Free Shipping. Two weeks ago this player was $99, then the price drop set it at $70, and for the next couple of days you can snag it for $50. I've been needing a mp3 player for a while, but the things that make me scoff @ $99 aren't so big at $49. Anyone had any experience with this...- Bigmike34
