BEHRINGER makes some of the worst bass gear (live amp.) that I've ever played. I can't speak for their home/studio audio, but I know the name is synonymous with 'awful' in my mind. The Zero seems to get favorable reviews.

I'm sure there is a super easy fix as there are hardly any components on the board. I place my bets on a bad cap. You could also try maxing those two yellow pots and see what happens.

What cans are you guys using with the y2? I am using the y1 with Senn HD600's. I could detect some improvement in resolution when I switched from my laptop's DAC to the AMB, but it was by no means extraordinary. So I am left wondering if I would need electrostats or other super hi-end cans...

The AMB y1 seems like the cheapest hi-end DAC. I'm very happy with mine and can only imagine replacing it when (if ever) I've put about a grand into the other components.
