It would be a pain but Maple Burl would look cool.

Id adore this, but ive been told by zach that he does not plan to use any woods softer than cherry in the future. Burl being one, tragically. It would be a pain but Maple Burl would look cool.
How about some exotic Australian jarrah wood burl? Good luck finding some, and of course it’s so dense the Verite will weigh a kilo, but still. I have a coffee table made of jarrah - weighs 150kg and dissolved my drill bit last time I had the bright idea to try drill some holes in it!M

Plywood or particle board might make them cheaper.
I've thought Pacific Madrone would be nice for headphones.

These headphones are absolutely gorgeous.
My only wish for the Verite is that it doesn’t need a fancy tube amp to sound at its best. I suspect that will be the case with the Aeolus, as it is for the Atticus. Hopefully the Verite gives the same love with solid states like the Auteur/Eikon seem to do.

Those grills are amazing, Zach. It's fascinating to watch your work become even more refined as you go. Can't wait to give these a listen, hopefully someday soon!

Tiger/Curly maple? The beauty of tiger maple is you could stain it pretty much any color to pop the grain and it would look amazing. Then we could all start lusting over trans tint colors! LolIt would be a pain but Maple Burl would look cool.
Or on the exotic side, leopard wood?
