Just got my VC monkeys. What is the average burn in time before these headphones start to shine?

They will change a lot in the first 24 hrs of use, so just let them sit for a day or two - after 50 hours the changes are more subtle, and they will sound "easier" around 200 - 300 hrs or so.

There is an 'edginess' to the upper mids that can seem a bit harsh (to my ears). Don't be concerned. This takes a while to fade away and for everything to smooth out, but it does. Then audio nirvana arrives.

Good to know as my pair is bound to arrive soon :)
Then to figure out what pads work best for classical / orchestral music and film music (Hans Zimmer for ex) and Rock or heavy metal :)

Hey guys!
So are there also universe hybrid pads? Where can I find them on the website? :)
In December he said he'd have them up shortly on the site, but he probably hasn't gotten around to it yet. I don't want to speak for him, but I imagine if you shoot @zach915m a PM he'll be able to get them for you.

I've got the pics - I just need 30 mins at a computer! I'll be on it today I think I promise. Will post here when I get it up.

Damn Man, those are beautiful!!!!

If anyone wants to listen to some great bass work, give Brian Bromberg’s ”Thicker Than Water, ” 24/96 on Qobuz. Not my usual cup of tea, but I'm mesmerized by his fret-work on the VC!
