What’s the impedance for the VC?
I believe 300ohm, like all his dynamics.

Yep 300 ohms, the driver is the same as used in the Verite. I will have more info on a product info page soon as well.
Tomorrow afternoon can’t come soon enough! Plus, the person who has them has generally similar preference to my own and has already thumbs up’d the sound quality to his liking which has me pretty certainly like these ! Not that it overly mattered as I was going to buy them no matter what, as I want a ZMF closed back

I see you've got the Ziricote Verite in your collection? If the Verite Closed you hear tomorrow is the Desert Ironwood, can you also comment on the comfort? I realize it might only be 60-80 gram difference (someone posted their Ziricote as weighing 540 grams), but it'd be nice to know
I'm also looking to try out the ZMF house sound, and i am badly in need of a closed headphone.

Will you be comparing the Closed with your open Verite?
I'm bringing my Aeolus to the meetup, but there will be other Verites there =) so if I have time to do a quick A/B I'll try (as long as no one else is listening to the other Verite/Verite C lol...but it shouldn't be a problem...

The Vérité C in question are the Monkeypod version; this particular pair weights in at 512g vs. my Ziricote Vérité which tip the scales at 557g. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but I was very surprised at how light the Vérité C felt when I first picked them up. Both are superbly comfortable. Which is good, because once I start listening to them that's usually the day shot ...
