Sorta opposite issue here…have a VC and an Arya V2 and am eyeing the Caldera :eyes:

I thought about Caldera, but already own Arya Stealth. I really want something different, so will go for VC. I found two I like so fingers crossed I am fast enough to nab one 😊

I have both the VC and Arya V2

Both the Atrium and Caldera are imho rather different than both.

TLDR, if u want great physical bass, speed, and ultra resolution and excitement, got for the Caldera. If you listen to lots of vocals and acoustics and want a lush sound with a really great 3D soundstage, go for the Atrium.

Either way, you will be getting something that’s quite different than what you now have imho.

These videos are so good and helpful, Zach! It's nice to have a different perspectives on the headphones other than the photos. They both look terrific and really give a good real-life idea of what to expect. Thanks for doing all that work! I imagine you got a little sick of doing that same move with the camera over and over 😂

Haha thanks! I did have the "I think I bit off more than I can chew" feeling yesterday but it all came together nicely. I like doing to video/camera stuff, but that many of the same thing can get a little monotonous.

Do you have multiple pieces for Rarity and LTD items in stock? just checking if we need to rush for those or they usually are in stock for at least 5-10 (for example). Doesn't have to be in stock but just to be available for next month for ordering

Just wanted to double-check that the Auteur Classic B-stocks are still estimated to start around $1199.99, as the price now shows $1699 (assuming that’s starting price for LTDs?). Also, any update on Salire availability? Would love to get one at the same time :).

Price wise you can expect estimates as below:

B Stock Headphones:

Atrium: $1999-2499
Aeolus $899 - 1199
Atticus $899-1099
Eikon $999-1299
Verite Open/Closed $1899 - 2499

Rarity, LTD and Stabilized:

Atrium: $2699-3199
Aeolus $1299-1599
Atticus $999 - 1199
Eikon $1199-1299
Verite Open/Closed $2499 - 2999

The prices above reflect estimated base level prices without add ons etc. I have not finished pricing out every model yet as I am still working on pricing. So there may be models higher or lower than these prices as I examine them etc. But this should give a general idea!

NOTE: VERITE2TIMES
= $500 off of Verite Open AND Closed when bought together, as a tandem. $250 off each.
Auteur Classic?

Every headphone listed is 1 of 1 - meaning we have listed ALL of the available inventory, so once each is sold - that's it. Sorry about that! Wish I could replicate some of these stabilized ones! We can clone goats now can't we!?

Auteur Classic?

Oh no!

Auteur Classic A-Stock: $1599-$1999

Auteur Classic B-Stock: $1199-1499

Edit -
I should mention I'm not sure how much Auteur Classic B-Stock there is, not many!

if I were to buy one headphone from the sale - which one would give me the best ZMF sound/bang for my buck (meaning if I can get one for $1,700, that's 95% of the most expensive - I'll take that) I have spent too much money already and I need a good amp to go with these headphones too so...

I am thinking of headphones, an amp, and possibly upgraded cable from ZMF, but $3000-$3500 is my budget, so if anyone that knows their signatures well can recommend something, that would be highly recommended!

My DAC/amp now is Mojo2, so if I can "live with that," something to consider. My only high-end headphone now is Audeze LCD-X 2021 (so an upgrade cable would be used for both, possibly), as been more of an IEM type until now.

Verite Open and Closed, both b-stock with the VERITE2TIMES coupon. Or one A stock one B-Stock etc.

Edit - I'm sure others will have thoughts too. Any b-stock will be a great value though in general.

I recently compared the Caldera and Atrium (based on first impressions only). Details throughout but punch line at the bottom of this longish write up..

I had (while lurking) read your review and it's why I was thinking about the Caldera. I think my plan is to try for an Atrium rarity then listen to the Caldera at CanJam NYC and add it to the collection sometime in the future.

Related question where did you get that crazy headphone stand? I think I saw one like it on Etsy but wasn't sure that was the source.

LOL, so you want me to buy two...:) Don't I need a tube amp for these? To be fair, I don't need two and my girlfriend would kill me LOL , as I'd rather start with one. Now, if you're like Dan Clark and closed is what sounds the best - I'll take that. If people say your open is the best, I'll go with that. Thanks for the feedback!

A PSA for all of the members that might be new to ZMF and ZMF November in particular:

Have your shipping and payment info filled out beforehand

Pick out a plan B and C and even D set of headphones ahead of time. Chances are you're not the only person eyeballing that purple stabilized set.

Be online and ready to rock when the event begins. These sets go fast.

If you're planning on buying a Caldera and the Cayin IHA 6 amp and want an upgraded cable, make sure you get a cable terminated in 4 pin XLR. For the dynamic driver ZMFs, single ended is fine.

Good luck tomorrow.

Verite’s are of course awesome! My personal choice would be a B stock Atrium for around $2000 and then something like a Quicksilver Headphone amp or other neutral-ish tube amp for another $1000. I might be trying for a B-stock Atrium as well. They’re all such good deals with the lifetime driver warranties!
