When I bought my VC the auteur lambskin pads were stock fwiw

I thought the Auteurs were always the stock pads on the VC's?

I've finally decided on the beautiful Coffee Gold. But am still trying to decide if I want Caldera Suede or Caldera Thick for the secondary pads. I chose leather for the stock pads, so maybe I should go with a suede secondary?

My thinking is that since the suede is gonna be sound closer to the stock than the thick (which may or may not be true), I'd go with the two that changes the sound more to start with, then perhaps fine tune later on if needed.

Just looked back at my order confirmation from June 2021, and yes the Auteurs were the stock. My bad! The universe lambskin were noted as "recommended" in the dropdown. So I incorrectly remembered them as the stock. So, for me, Zach's stock choice was my favorite for all three of my ZMFs. Maybe I shouldn't pad roll???

Still feeling undecided, I love the look of the KingWood but the weight is concerning. I tried putting a 600g bottle of water on my head and it felt heavy lmao. Though so did the 500g ><. Maybe I'll just hesitate long enough for the KingWood to sellout so the choice is easier :'D
