Btw, if nobody minds, I might use Bulging Mesh as the name of my next band. It's going to be a throwback industrial band. It'll be great.
Haha, it's a solid name, Dave!

That is absolute gold Dave!!!!!!!!!!Yeah, I’m looking into it as that doesn’t seem right. Would you (or anybody else with bulging mesh) happen to have an Atrium (or other non-Bokeh ZMF)? The screw spacing for the baffle on the Bokeh is a few mm smaller in diameter, so I am guessing that you were accidentally sent Atrium solid mesh instead of Bokeh solid mesh. Either that, or the mesh was cut wrong.

I noticed during burn in for canjam that the biggest change seemed to happen around 50 hrs with gradual smoothing out after. With Atriums it seems like they need longer, 100 plus hours for that same jump.I've switched back to the stock vented mesh and hybrid pads because the sound was getting a bit too dark with the full mesh. These headphones are really starting to shine, but I figure they still need more time to break in.

Same, I finally fell fully in love with them! It took a while but I’m settled with the stock configuration with a sub bass boost and a little high shelf at 10000hz with EQ. Sounds pretty phenomenal and I just tried so many more expensive headphones at CanJam including the Caldera closed! I’m quite pleased thank you Zach and Bevin and the whole ZMF team!Officially at 100 hours on the Bokeh. Been playing them through the night and most of the day since Monday evening. I've noticed a lot of the grittiness and some hollowness to the sound has gone away. Feels like there's more texture and everything has found its place. More realism with voices and instruments too. Anyway, I'm enjoying them a lot. Happy listener here

Maybe the mechanics of the higher impedance voice coil and heavier material in the Atrium!?
Anyways some anecdotal notes for you!
One Direction is already taken… but A Bit of a Hump can be the first album from Dave’s band.Mine was just one direction creating a bit of a hump.
I had to replace the only weak link to the Bokeh as well. The included 4.4MM cable is producing too much noise when rubbed against my clothings for my taste. Aside from that, the Bokeh has exceeded my expectations.Received my beautiful 4.4mm balanced Pro cable
