Both of my headphones are home and back in actions, the Aeolus have new mesh screen that i have not seen before.

Poor Zach, people are going to go nuts over the new screen haha. They'll be asking what sound difference there is, why they don't have it, how can they get it, etc. Fun times!

Yes, it is DNA Sonett 2.

I had a Sonett 1, really liked it. Been dying to get another DNA amp.

It is beautiful and very good amp. DN did not build many Sonett, only 18 Sonnett 2 and less than 100 for Sonett 1. I was lucky and got #10 from local Head-fier. It is a class above BHC, It is so good, especially with the Auteur. The others DNA amps are very expensive and a long list in waiting.

Never heard the Auteur but if they have similar SQ to the iBasso SR-1(bio cellulose drivers) pretty much any Planar Mag would be a great partner as would the Senn 800S...

Of course the question is "what's your price range" lol.

If you wanted to stay with ZMF Aeolus or Verite are an excellent option, the Sennheiser HD650 is also good with tubes....

The nice thing about the Auteur is that it's such a neutral/natural headphone, you could either compliment it with something on the warmer or cooler side of the spectrum. I'm in the opposite side of that choice. I have the warm Aeolus and detailed/analytical Arya, and am wanting the Auteur for the neutral in-between.

Another route, given what I think of as the Auteur’s “musical neutrality”, is to roll tubes to add/subtract warmth etc in the h/p/a.

I have a very similar chain, with the bf2 into a bottlehead mainline and crackatwoa. Auteur is amazing, and I also like the hd800 here. Different sound itch to scratch, and pairs with tubes excellently, especially otl.

So I ordered some of the new LTD Bocote awhile back. I just got an email that they have moved into the "sanding and finishing" stage.
From your experiences, roughly how much longer would you say until they are shipped out ?

5-8 Weeks, i ordered an Aeolus Bocote and it was sanding and finishing at 8/3/2021

Are these the Bocote with the copper trim? That's what I ordered also
