I'll do a write-up in the gear section this week. I'm also poking around forums and canuckaudiomart for some kind of decent OTL or SET amp to run with the Auteur but so far no luck. I think I get what's missing from the SS options now, which is tone density and thickness (crunch?) that the Auteur might benefit from. If anyone has ideas let me know.

In my experience, the Auteur is definitely one of the best headphones for jamming that song! Undertow is at its best on vinyl though, the guards would have to wheel that along side you to really get the most out of the track. This hobby’s never easy, is it?

Glenn OTL. There’s a little bit of a wait, but the bang for buck is among the best in the hobby. Plus, it’s custom, so there is price flexibility based on the options you get. Base model starts at $750, more maxed out versions run about $1,500ish. I just have the base model and it absolutely destroys most amps with the Auteur.

Not easy at all. Especially when you have to use your tonearm as a shank.
