Worth the wait, @Celty. Mine continue to bring me great joy and have quelled my upgraditis like no headphones I've owned before. These are a terrific all arounder, not implying hat they are a jack of all trades and master of none. Rather, they excel across genres. You are in for a treat!

Same here, hopefully. Next on the list from the ZMFNovember sale. Can't wait to see how they compare to the Atticus, Verite, and Aeolus I have, which are all so satisfying that realistically it's sort of a 'what more could I want?' situation. Well I want the Auteur too!

Have yet to hear anything with a biocellulose driver and from descriptions I'm expecting it to be the most different from the other 3. Fortunately headphone gluttony doesn't result in gaining weight, high blood pressure, or rising cholesterol.

The excitement is warranted. I've had mine since August of last year, I still keep them in the wood case every night and feel privileged to take them out each day. Wouldn't trade them for any headphones in the world. Running them balanced through the RME ADI 2DAC > Monolith 887 and this is as good as it gets for me. Somewhere down the line I have Verite C in my sights, but I'm in absolutely no rush. I could use the Auteurs exclusively for life and be more than satisfied. You're in for a treat to say the least.

It’s funny. I actually was going to sell my teak Auteur (I also have the Verite open) and posted it here on Head-FI. Within a couple of hours I took down the listing and decided that I was going to keep my pair. I’m glad I made that decision!
