I am contemplating changing my Teak Auteur order to a Blackwood with black insert Auteur order.

I’ve got the Blackwood version here, it is marvelous.

Pretty simple since you answered your question yourself.
I happen to prefer the look of the teak to the blackwood myself as well.
So I wouldn't pay more for a wood I like less.

The Blackwood is a larger contrast to my other three headphones. I like both the Teak and Blackwood, but wanted a different look.
