As some of you have mentioned, the Zen does change its tonality depending on the amp more than usual.

I recommend using it on a warmer source like the Ibasso DX160 or the Schiit Asgard 3 rather than a brighter one like the JDS Atom.

I second your statement. The ZEN is source, amp, tips and even cable (to a lesser extent) responsive. It allows room for experimenting.

In my case, the best combination is: max. 2mm wide aperture on the tips, secure fit and deep insertion, pure silver cable, neutral amp and warmish source. EQing might help, but it's not mandatory.

PCBs don't have to house passive components. We just want to keep everything tidy.

This also makes things futureproof, in case we want to do something... special.

Thanks for the information. Keeping everything tidy is good, I've seen some IEM with messy wires inside the housing and causing damge the internal wirring.

I just got the Dunu Tour on my hands and I have to say first impressions are very positive! I had to do a good 20min for finding my perfect eartips as I found dunu to be very very eartip sensitive. Among all I tried I found the white medium to suite me the best!
Yep those little white tips that where in the small bag then the little box with other tips.

I find the white tips to my match my ak sp2000 copper and my preference the best. It has very good treble not too elevated just perfectly there to give me a good punchy sparkly sense.

Bass got detailed and more controlled! Other tips simply make dunu sound like a pair of subwoofers LoL

EST 112 imminent and a great reduction on the DK-3001 Pro, the IEM that first grabbed my attention from DUNU and led me to the ZEN and then SA6!

In the same week where my wife looked at me in horror when I said a recent micro-SD purchase cost €200...
