Eventually. It's just a prototype. But it's not in the ECLIPSƎ lineage. Not the same concept.
It's a good time to go #PRO. Our next generation of in-ears powered by ECLIPSƎ are here! Learn more on our official website.

This is exactly why it’s intriguing! Excited to see more details about it.
I love that you guys just keep experimenting. I’m guessing this is a DD/EST Hybrid or even a “Tribrid” of some sort?
Since the Luna, ZEN, and the other Dynamic line is a single DD, the SA line is BA, and the DK line is a Hybrid BA/DD.
Yeah, I hope DUNU keep working on hybrids. I needs my DD bass, but I really like the resolution/detail retrieval one can get from other types of drivers for mids/treble, thus why I've been all about hybrids for 6-7 years now.. Obviously, coherence can be tricky with these implementations. That said, it sure SEEMS like the single DD Zen can meet my minimal threshold requirement for detail retrieval, just based on anecdotes in this thread at least.
Finally got a chance to hear Luna between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Terrific resolution, but the tuning just didn't sit right with me, and it was a moot point anyway as my self-imposed budget precludes a Luna purchase. I have high hopes for Zen. Just gotta see which direction I go over the next month or two.

Hybrids have been my jam the past few years. The LUNA won me over for certain genres but the ZEN has me hooked in for pretty much everything I've been listening to. I will be curious to see how all newer single DD iems do going forward.
No doubt! I was just saying I am just into 2021and already digging a deep hole (I also bought Hifiman HE560 and DanClark Aeon 2 Noire over ear headphones in the last couple of weeks) when I stumble onto this thread and see the Zen is the one for 2021... On a serious note, how would the Zen compare to the Dunu DK-3001 Pro?
I have no doubt DUNU when they say the LUNA is a beryllium driver set, that's the truth, but as we can see, maybe some smaller CHIFI would like to jump on the beryllium hypetrain, but perhaps some may be hoodwinking us consumers.
I've long waited for a high end well rounded DD IEM. I would like to see a review with some negatives so it's more trustworthy. We all know no IEM is perfect, but initial impressions usually paint them as such.

There is a difference between pure beryllium and beryllium coated. Dunu Luna is pure beryllium rolled foil diaphragm. The FH3, BD005 Pro & 1.4 are beryllium coated.

As mentioned above, those are beryllium plated drivers, which is quite a bit different than actual pure beryllium drivers. I believe the Dunu Luna and Final A8000 are currently the only IEMs featuring such drivers.

The original OP just stated "beryllium" in his original post with no mention for plated/coated versus full beryllium. Yep I'm aware those hybrids discussed above are plated/coated beryllium, not pure beryllium. Even the budget hyped single DD beryllium types like Urbanfun YBF-ISS014, Moondrop SSR/SSP, Fiio FD1/Jade Audio EA1, Tin T1 Plus are plated/coated too.
Supposedly the Periodic Audio BE and KBEAR BElieve are marketed to be full beryllium too, and they are cheaper than the Final A8000 and DUNU LUNA, but that's a big can of worms, as we will probably need someone to open the driver and send it to a lab or something to prove or disprove this.
I think a lot of budget CHIFI are riding on the beryllium hype for the year of 2020. But I suspect a lot of em may just be using them as a marketing ploy. At the end of the day, I do think implementation and tuning are more important than driver count, driver material/type.
