When you were just at a drum clinic (Gavin Harrison from Porcupine Tree btw) and you see way to many people there with Beats...I mean, really, how do you own Beats/like Porcupine Tree.

Hmmm Porcupine Tree on Beats is prolly like eating fried fish with shaved ice

You know... ... when:

You watch Sound City and decide that you just love music too much not to hear EVERYTHING, and resolve to buy the Stax SR009 and BHSE, even though every rational fibre of your being is saying " Dude, that is f&^king crazy. Don't do that".

.........make your own? Check out the DIY electrostatic thread.

Relationships are for people that don't own headphones.

I have a fiancée and she's getting into it, actually bought (I was with her and she was asking about it) her first portable amplifier, an iBasso a02 :)

Since I know how much everyone likes to bash beats here, this is my latest finding of stupidity on beats on the internet.

"Has anyone used the Dr. Dre headphones for porn? Does porn sound extra good/real with them?
Seriously; I'm curious."

What has the world come to?????

Youknow you're an audiophile when... You need a haircut for months but end up spending the money each week on different interconnects.... IEM ear guides.... IEM tips..... Ear pads.... Cables....

This is a true story. I haven't had a haircut since BEFORE joining head-fi. I traced it back to the wedding I went to at the end of August.

I don't get the metaphor...  Both are cheap delicious foods

.  I would think it would be more like drinking a $100 bottle of wine from a dixie cup, or eating caviar on a saltine

That's just plain stupid and self-hindering to your true objective. You have to get rid of all your hair. It ruins the contact of the headphones and head, and limits the quality of the seal.

You go back and shave your head until I can see my reflection on it. Is that clear?
