"Not" considering? I have sold so much stuff to fund my addiction. DS Lite, DSi, and electronic drum kit (kept my acoustic) an iPod Touch...the list goes on.

Hence the wink. I am considering it.

Gangnam Style- it must be the torture test track. If the phones can handle it without shorting - you have a keeper.

Over-played and over-hyped music will be over-played and over-hyped music. In short: gross.

It's representative of modern pop, without being as offensive to my ears as say...Ke$ha or someone like that.

I'd rather listen to Ke$ha. 90% of Gangnam Style is Korean, how can people like it? For the background music? Listen to some classical, jeez.

I can't tell if you're serious or not.

"Angel" by Massive Attack has extremely low bass effects, which is great for testing "how low can they go"? in frequency response, and if the headphones can deliver the bass lines undistorted.

big thumbs up for T-ARA, any reason why you prefer the japanese version?

I make sure I have Twinkle by Taetiseo to test pop music and female voices, 3 different voice signature plus instrument heavy back track, I like to hear how well the headphones can separate them sonically

I'll have to add those to my list. Quite like those(especially Twinkle). The reason I have the japanese version is because I got the single from Japan.

People like it because it's crazy, random, and hilarious! Have you ever watched the music video? I can see people not liking random stuff like Gangnam style. If your like 40 and go to symphony's and stuff I can see why you wouldn't like it.

I am being serious.

Well plenty of people listen to foreign music without knowing the language/culture. I listen to a lot of Chinese pop, both Mandarin and Cantonese, and I can't understand 95% of what they're saying, yet I still find it enjoyable to listen to.

As for modern pop music, yeah I guess from that standpoint Gangnam Style is a decent choice. Pop isn't my forte, but Gangnam Style seems like a good choice given other popular music nowadays....
