HD800/Edition8 - classical and jazz
Edition9/Edition8 - trance
LA7000/Edition9 - rap/HipHop/pop
but it would be hard for me to choose the Edition8's over Edition9 and HD800 in the respective genres, the Edition8's just do everything well. the HD800's sound absolutely amazing with classical and jazz where as the Edition9's give that nice extra emphasis on the bass lines in trance
