For coloring plastic, especially electronics, it's better to use vinyl dye instead of paint.

It's funny to see so many people being vainly aesthetically minded. Shame on you people that spend way too much money and time with aesthetics.
 
My opinion (not that it matters):
If you are happy with the results, more power to you. They're not really my style but I would wear them proudly if I liked the Grado sound signature (I've never heard it to be honest...).
