Sorry this thread has way too many posts to be able to read them all....

Have people on here "installed" wings to allow you to run with these IEMs?

Hi, I'm also own one of this and I finds it really small, you may need to check with the seller for the dimension of the "grip" before press order.
You may as well pull it over-ear, I did it to minimize "cable noise" and also won't easily drop off when accidentally pulled the cable.

Ok, so I like these so much I decided to purchase another pair. This time however, I resorted to ebay, and yes, a Chinese seller. I checked their feedback, and there are almost no complaints posted about any of their items being fake, which are all sold way below their msrp. Honestly, if they turn out to be anywhere close to the originals in the sound department, I'll be quite happy. Also, according to the "original vs fake" comparison page, the only difference seems to be with the tips; the Chinese ones are made of lower quality rubber (which will of course greatly affect the sound character). If true, I plan to use the original tips with them and still enjoy the same (or pretty darn close), smooth sound.

Sorry to hear some of you have been caught out by fakes. The fact of the matter is, if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is! We used to sell EPH100 for £99.95 and now sell them for £69.95 which is a 30% discount off our original price. Anyone selling much below this is very likely to be selling fakes for the following reasons:

1) We are the only UK retailer authorised to sell these by Yamaha (they only supply them to us from 2013 onward)
2) To sell much less they couldnt make any profit margin if they were direct from Yamaha (as our stocks are) so its a good sign they are fakes

I've seen some examples around £40-50 and these are all probably fakes. One customer said to me the other day - why risk wasting £40-50 completely on a sub standard (potentially dangerous to hearing) and poor quality product (which is a fake) when for slightly more money you are making a sound investment in listening by purchasing any official pair from Audio Affair for £69.95. And you have benefit of full 2 year warranty if you buy from us (if they turn out faulty within this time, you return them, we inspect and if faulty, we usually replace them directly for a brand new set)

We have very good stocks currently, we ship worldwide (at very low rates) and we can ship same day if you order before 2pm :)

You can order official pairs direct from our website at http://www.audioaffair.co.uk/yamaha-eph100-earphones

^^This!

Buy from AudioAffair and you guys can't go wrong!

I got 2 pairs from them and 0 issues.

Anyone know where you can get replacement tips just the stock ones or any which are an upgrade? Lost the default tips and the smaller/bigger sizes just don't do it.

Cheers

It's very hard to get spare tips for the EPH100. If I was you is crate a WTB ad on Head-Fi to see if anyone has some going spare. Also can try contacting Yamaha or AudioAffair to see if they can help you out.

Why don't you order from AudioAffair, they are a licensed Yamaha retailer and ship internationally?
