@a11Earz
Well, I'd think that full size headphones are more adapted for metal, anyways.
When I  grab the eph-100, I  don't want to listen metal, maybe someone else would like this.

You might ask joker on this thread :

i've just had the eph100 for 2 days and the bass is just awesome. the problem is i feel that the treble is somehow too smooth for metal music. it would be perfect if the treble can be more aggresive

You can make them slightly more aggressive by using a bright amp like C&C BH with a gold/silver Mundorf LOD/IC.

Thank you all for your help so far.
I want the mids to be forward, the bass to be deep with good quality and quantity the highs not to be too bright or emphasized yet detailed and the overall presentation to be full and not dry or thin. Does the Yamaha EPH-100 offer that?
And again, are the "Yamaha EPH-100" and the "Yamaha EPH-100SL" the exect same model?

Yes that sounds like EPH100 is what you want.

Oh and yes they are the same IEM the SL bit is for Americanos.

@Lifted Andreas:
Thank you!

I also posted on ljokerl thread a similar post, but in comparison to the vsonic gr07be (http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-287-iems-compared-hidition-nt-6-ciem-added-06-23-13-p-715/10785#post_9569620). I still think the eph-100 are more suitable for me but not that sure (as the gr07be has less quantity of bass and the overall sound is thiner and less "full" compared to the eph-100 ), ~150$ is pretty serious amount of money so I hope to make the right decision.

Yeah I saw mate, just remember this is Head-Fi and everyone is gonna have different views. You're eventually gonna have to take a risk and go for something., as no one is gonna give you a definite answer.

In the end though if you aren't entirely happy in the end we have a for sale/trade section which you can make use of.

So, I made my mind to go for the EPH100's (thanks to all of you for the help) due to the suitable sound for my taste (thought about maybe the fxt90 but they are not very suitable for the genre I listen to). One last question: Does the EPH100 handle equalization well? The reason is if I will find the treble a bit too "shy", so I will amp the highs a bit to add a little presence. Thanks again!

i absolutely love these yamahas. I got them and bassos same dag, but so far eph100 is the keeper (love the basso also). Somethin bout the subbass to midbass ratio is perfect for me. Mostly older rap and rnb, 2pac, em, biggie, cassidy, dmx....jodeci, rkelly, with some hinder, saliva, staind, and oldies lile reo, aerosmith, lional ritchie. Does them allgreat. And to make itbetter, bh2 just cleared customs and will be here this weekend.

@extrabigmehdi:
After a little research my guess is that this is the hole you were talking about in your post here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/577712/yamaha-eph-100/2595#post_8626004
Out of curiousity, have you managed to cover that freq respone "hole" by eq?

@mikaveli06:
What does "bh2" stand for?
