had the same issue with my unit (not turning on), returned it to get repaired
Came back with a scratched screen. Heh

Yeah, same with me except I got a brand new unit that was the first that came of the conveyor belt for the 2nd revision X2.

Hmmz...
I think you got yours back earlier than me? I only got mine back about 3 w ago.
Did you go directly via xduoo or penon? Xduoo referred me to the dealer(penon) who I got it from in tyre first place

I got mine back maybe over a month ago. Mine went through Penon, but they went through xDuoo directly. I think it was a somewhat common issue on the first revision. The second revision has some better components, so works flawlessly.

Anyone tried the klipsch image 1 with this player? Is it possible it will tone down the bass or even increase the problem?

For what it´s worth i have tried the Image II and.. The bass is just so damn over the top in this headphone! If they tuned it with half the bass it should be a good headphone! ( learn something from the AKG y50 ) Anyways, there is no user EQ so you are stuck with presets. I would not rely to much on the players EQ to tune a bad sounding headphone :) ( to my ears anyways, no hard feelings )

Well, there's nothing to think much against it's tech specs given it's price tag.....

I went for the X2 as an attempt to replace a sansa clip(small not powerful stuff), so the X3 would really defeat that purpose with the bigger size and the apparently massive output.

250mw into 32ohm is certainly something, it might be one of the cheapest pretty powerful DAP available, I would personally need to see a little more specs (into 16 and 300ohm and know if it's @1%THD or pure max output, and of course noise^_^), but that brand seems to be promising.

To much breath for you @castleofargh ^^

yup, but it's not like my other DAPs are noiseless

.  the FIIO X1 is the cleanest I have now.

secret french conspiracy talk that nobody else can see: "breath" n'a pas ce sense en anglais, noise, hiss, hum ... mais pas breath).
