    Thanks for the reply!
Nice, I didn't know that such plug exist. This will low the volume output too right? Sry for the dumb question but I'm just learning about "impedance and sensitivity on headphones".
PD: can I get it from amazon?
  2. rikk009
Yes you will need to bump up the volume too. Ofcourse you can buy from Amazon if you can find one.
Also, look at this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/234518/adding-impedance-to-headphones

75 Ohm is very big - dry and hard sound for main earphones(impedance 16 Ohm).
I recommend 20-30, max. 50 Ohm custom adapter.
    Or this 20: http://penonaudio.com/3.5mm-Male-to-3.5mm-Female-Impedance-Adapter

Also, is the hiss REALLY that noticeable on low-ohm IEMs (such as to cause annoyance)? And does the hiss get louder when you turn the volume up?

So far my mind is pretty much set to buy this DAP when I get enough money. I was first turned off by the lack of file sorting options, but after hearing so many testimonies in this thread about the insane sound quality that the X2's deliver, I'm willing to sacrifice those features and get my hands a bit dirty and just use Drive Sort as an alternative.

Just waiting for my last question to get answered (about the hiss), then I can buy the X2 in confidence.

Never owned sensitive IEMs so can't say but yes with volume the hiss increases that's natural. I am selling my X2 but I don't think you live in India.

But the hiss isn't too loud to be annoyance right?

Also is there any better players than the X2 for the same price?

X2 is in a crowded market segment, but it really depends on things whether or not you plan to invest in other things as well cause chemistry is a factor to consider.

Any way to make it like sandisk clip so that I can attach it to my t shirt for running?

Sorry for activating his semi-dead thread, but is it true that the X2 is best suitable for cans and IEMs with more impedance? I mainly listen to my KZ ED9 and ATE, which are low ohm budget IEMs, and I was afraid that the X2 might overpower them and make them sound bad (eg. distorted bass, piercing highs).
