TA-22 sounds phenomenal even with new model stock xduoo tubes ,as on older model they go with cheap tubes from cheap china tubes manufacturer. now i think they installed red psvane tubes ,but with xduoo logo. maybe im not right about tubes,but they seems identical from photos.

I found almost nothing about reviews of the new TA-22
Did people not like it?
Does it make a good pair with Hifiman 400se?

Nice endorsement from Josh and I tend to enjoy his reviews more than many others on YouTube. I don't really need this as I have an OTL tube amp, the TA-20 and other good SS amps. However this TA-22 is a nice package and I may get one for a family member. Of course I'll need to test it out for them first and it may take awhile

What a good device. Too bad I already own a MT-602 and a DAC because this is an all in one solution.
today got nos 1970 RFT tubes for my ta-22. bingo, far better sound vs xduoo stock tubes( investigated -it is psvane hifi first model,very warm with good bass and higs). RFT 12au7 with audeze lcd-2closed back fine set-extended sound from bottom to end,bright open sound with lots detail.balanced sound cross all frequency with space between instruments and natural vocal tonality. also nice tubes lighting as nice as sound even starts out from box. recommended.

Do IEMs work off the balanced connection? I like using balanced cables on IEMs.

Have you tested it with Hifiman Edition XS or any other Hifiman?
I'm curious to know how the TA22 performs with Edition XS or Ananda.
I think these 1970 valves I won't be able to find around here, they are very old and must have a high cost around here if I can find them.

i have ananda ,but im still not tried with hifiman, as my ananda bt has usb-c input ,with neutral sounding ta-22 is perfect combo with stock warm tubes. my audeze is warm sounding neutral /slightly v shape LCD-2CB. so im happy with open sounding and big soundstage RFT tubes far better. also see users thoutgs on this web. https://www.thetubestore.com/rft-ecc82-12au7 ,
im not like sound from stock tubes with my lcd-2cb on ta-22(warm tubes -warm headphones-too many warmth for my ears),so starting see at more neutral sounding closed tops as -focal stellia,sony Z1R,meze liric ,focal radiance or zmf verite closed . after tried RFT tubes-stopped see immeddiatly to other headphones. RFT ecc82 + TA-22+ audeze LCD-2CB .... end game for me. maybe will try tungsol.gold lion ,JJ,or TJ tubes in future. now i have Happiness
