Today I installed the Philips E80CC SQ ones, which are much larger then the normal 12AU7 ones. At first these seems to push the bass harder and make the sound overall a tend warmer.

But beside of that: TA-22 is capable to run the E80CCs

Any clues what is the confirguration of the 4 tubes in mt-604, are the first 2 tubes from the left for left channels, then again withn the first 2, are 1st and 2nd for input and output stages?, I dont see any documentation explaining the tube confirguration.

Wish I'd seen the preview of the TA-20 Plus earlier before ordering the TA-26s. If it is an OTL it looks to be what I'd like to replace another OTL amp that I'm having problems trying to troubleshoot. It uses the 6AS7/6080 power tube but one of the driver sockets is red-plating 6N6P tubes. I tried various driver tubes so it is something in the internals sending too much current to the right channel. Anyway I've got older RCA, Raytheon and Svetlana tubes that should do well with the 26s and pair nicely with my higher impedance dynamic HP's.

The TA-20 is a hybrid. To me, would be odd to make the plus version OTL. Just name it the ta-26 plus/ultra, ta-36 or something. But whatever, as long as it’s a solid amp I don’t really care.

It seems like Xduoo’s release schedule has slowed a bit. You’re probably smart get the ta-26 now. Who knows when the ta-20 plus will be released. They’ve been teasing the xd05 pro since September, and updated versions of the xd05 plus and bal since the beginning of the year. I bet those come first

On my Xduoo ta20 found that the 12bh7 sounded better than any of the 12au7 tubes. The Hytron tubes being the best I found for it. I since upgraded to the wells audio dragon so thinking of selling the ta 20 (shameless plug) with assortment of tubes and 4.4 to xlr cables.

Been a fun time with the Xduoo ta20 but rather see someone enjoy it than gathering dust.

Today I tube rolled a NOS russian foton 6SN7 tube in my TA-26s I just received and the volume was very low, I was listening just before with a new production TAD tube and volume was loud as always. I decided to try the other 2 fotons I've received and the same, low volume. I thought they were defective and installed the TAD tube again and to my surprise volume was very low too.
So my main question is, should I be worried of the first tube breaking something in the TA-26S or is it some safety feature to prevent major damage and tomorrow will all be alright?
My amp is only 3 months old and warranty should cover, but I rather would prefer not having to send it.
Any help will be appreciated

Can you tell me if the coax output of the Ta-10R will have tube sound if I connect it to some amplified speakers? Thank you.

There’s no coax out, just in. The RCA out does not go through the tube stage I believe.

Guys anyone with the MT-604, is it normal for the headphone XLR plugs to be a bit hot after listening to it for some time, its more than warm but not to the level I can't touch them, I am bit freaked over time the heat will travel all the way to the headphone and damage the drivers or melt some soldering etc, I am running these with the Sylvania 5654 tubes.
