Xbox 360 vs PS3 vs Wii

I guess it all comes down to what kind of game experience you're look for. Xbox 360 has a big advantage in the online community with xbox live whereas ps3 has more bang-for-the-buck(yes, I meant it) in terms of multimedia experience. 360 elite(hdmi, 120G) + hddrive is more expensive than ps3. If people don't want hd-dvd drive, then 360 is a better choice but if you want a console that can do it all, you'd wanna go with ps3.

As for Nintendo Wii, this wasn't supposed to be a hardcore gamer's console in the first place(except for Zelda, maybe). It was very clear that this console was marketed towards the casual/general gamers. Heck, none of their game characters have any normal head-to-body ratio. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea.

Personally, I'm a casual player but a hardcore at that. And I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Residen't Evil, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Gran Turismo, Tekken, etc. You get the idea.

Before I had any of the consoles, I would choose the 360.

After the fact, I would still say the 360.

The Wii is incredible, but I still prefer the 360. The 360 just has so many more games that really appeal to me. The 360 has been my favorite console ever, just as far as fun is concerned. Add all the extra media sharing features and downloads and demos, and its even better.

I have yet to see a title be released for the PS3 that is not coming to the 360 that I really will regret not playing.

My heart goes to the PS3, my mind the 360 and my Wii went to my pals's kidos.

I love the tech behind the PS3, the spu design interactions between them and the GPU, memory technology, every console having a hard drive so programmers can use that to their advantage. I love all the things it does. I don't like that it's so expensive it stays out of the hands of so many people, and garnishes so much hate for this fact.

I love the pool of games the 360 has, but I think it was very short-minded of MS to not put a HD in all the consoles. They should have spent more time refining the system instead of being so stuck on first to market. Yes they have the library because of this, but at what cost? I'm worried about it's shelf life due to so many games hitting the hard edge of the 8GB DVD medium.

I couldn't stand the Wii, it's "wobble sticks" are not innovative enough to outshine it's utter failure to keep up with anyone except colico-vision in the graphics, sound department. Don't get me wrong, it's great when you've got a lot of drunk guys wanting to play some party games, but I'm not always drunk and I don't want to feel like it using those controllers.

Although it's unreliable, I vastly prefer my Xbox 360 over dad's PS3 (for bluray). I've only seen the Wii in the NYC Nintendo World, but they didn't have enough wiimotes out to try it.

The graphics weren't any better than the GCN even though the Wii has twice the power.

I'd like to add something else after spending a few hours on the PS3 playing Lair.

THIS is how do you motion sensing capabilities in a game. You steer your dragon using the six-axis functionality of the controller and it's actually more natural feeling then using the analog sticks. Feels -light years- ahead of the the motion steering in the Wii games I've played.

I have the 360 and the Wii...both are very popular in my household....I love both, but use the 360 more...I am addicted tp COD 3 in Xbox live...is so cool! also, can't wait for Halo 3 and Medal of Honor! On the other hand, Wii has Striker and Smash brothers coming soon...so my kids tell me.....might as well keep both!

Been gaming since the commodore 64 days, and still the console wars will never cease to end. If i had to choose only one system out of the big 3, for other reasons alone, it would have to be more than just a gaming console. It would have to offer much much more for your money. Personally, I own a ps3 and xbox360. I gave the WII much thought, but I knew down the road it would lead to a love and hate relationship, knowing that the remotes don't go for long, and having to deal with last gen graphics. At the moment, this is how I see the time line as popularity goes:

ps1 <<<< snes, dreamcast, n64
ps2=xbox <<<< gamecube, n64
ps3 >>> 360=WII

In about a few years I'll predict the ps3 to outlast this long drawn war, with the most features, and latest technology any system can offer. From being able to install other OS's, Blu-ray playback, DVD playback, SACD compatibility, backwards compatibility, WIFI and Bluetooth built in (60gig version for WIFI), you have the most comprehensive system ever made.
