I miss my Jeep for exactly this reason.

Just measured 30 inches in my backyard in DC. Truly epic.

DC usually gets about 10-15 inches of snow the ENTIRE winter.

I drove to Lima and back yesterday through the entire zone there and back. Heavy snow, sleet & ice, rain. 400 mi / 14 hrs for 5 hours work. Good thing I was using a Jeep.

I'm not leaving for nothing, not even the mailbox.

I can't believe it here in DC. The Office of Public Management (OPM) is saying that the DC Federal Government is OPEN today and that all employees are expected to come in.

They have GOT to be kidding!!!

That HAS to be some sort of error. No way they are expecting people in when there is no bus service and no above ground metro, and even military hummers are getting stuck on the roads:

Made me laugh. I'm sure there are Republicans that are thinking just that.

Here in the UK we get 6 inches of snow and the whole country falls apart. Some of the depths of snow being reported on the East Coast are downright scary.

Wow, that's epic. There was a snowstorm here in Hokkaido a few years ago that was 3x that and buried people's houses. I remember the footage of a TV crew walking through a tunnel made in the snow and arriving at someone's front door.
