I really, really did not like the Aviator/Navigator. Dunno about the MM, but reviews seem great.

I am using some flat response speakers. I would never use the JVC's for that purpose, unless I was 100% accurate at equalizing cans. Which I'm not.

For me it was the Ultrasone HFI-780.  I tried and tried and tried to like these.  But ultimately I ended up hating them.  The harshness of the metallic-sounding treble just kills me.  You know its bad when I turned to my SR-60's for a smoother sound.

A Grado being smoother in the treble than another headphone? Lol, how often do you hear that.

hands down hd558.....it sucks the big one!!!  I guess dark sounding headphones are not my thing..on the other hand I love my ATH-AD900x which is leaps and bounds better.
 
the funny part is that I used to love my moded HD555's until it broke and thought by purchasing a HD558 I was going to get the same but better.....boy! was I wrong.

LOL well I think what we're saying is "worst in relation to price/reputation". I mean, obviously, the WORST any of us have heard is gonna be some cheap pair that either came with a phone or was plugged into an airplane, but we're not exactly expecting that to be mindblowing.

I know right? The 780s were like stabbing pencils in my ears. Now I didn't exactly have a tube amp to run them through. Just couldn't take them.

Yeap, for the price I'd still say the lowest end SOL Republic Tracks. Everything sounded like you're trying to listen to a music played indoors from outside.

Hmm... Probably with that much bass... Headphones with a lot of low quality bass tend to sound like there is a dubstep concert going on at another guys house... Muffled thumping bass, inaudible treble and mids.

Any thing made by Monster Audio. Also I had a pair of low end (200.00 USD) price range Sennheiser over the ear cans that I returned. They sounded awful.
