After a reasonable (?) amount of ‘tube traveling’, it is B2B … back to Brimar … CV1863 (KB/FE) and CV455 (KB/FB):
[A wonderfully airy, balanced, detailed, exciting, musical combination. One of the ‘set and forget’ type; a top-notch all-rounder, hard-to-beat!]
EDIT: If I had any sense, I would abide by this & stop tube rolling; but, noooooo … .

So to run the Sophia 274B with the WA6 first gen what do I need? An adapter? Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm totally lost on tubes and compatibility with the WA6. If I can't run the 274B what are some other good rectifier tubes I can use with it without an adapter? Thanks.

For Sophia 274B, no adapter is needed. That tube is listed at $210 on the Woo Audio website. You may do better elsewhere. A terrific rectifier tube which is very reasonably priced is the Brimar CV1863 - which is a ‘go to’ for my WA6 Gen 1. See post #4,591 above. The Brimar CV1863 is available at Langrex in the U.K. for £42.50 (~ $55.00 USD) each; website is ‘Langrex.co.uk’.
Woo publishes a compatibility chart HERE, although it is not a complete list. There is another thread in the forums “search: DubStepGirl Massive Rectifier” for some additional information to get you started on the wonderful world of tube rolling.

I'd like some suggestions for the leanest, speediest, solid state sounding rectifier for the WA6SE 2nd gen. Hopefully something readily available in the US.
It would be used with 13DE7 drivers. There's no shame in using new production tubes, and I'm considering 5AR4 and 5U4GB options.

Anybody had pin contact issues because of too heavy tube rolling? Deplugging, replugging, bending the pins (even with pin savers) surly has some wear-off effect on the long run?

…. that’s why I said if …. besides, the lure of cleaning & shining tube pins, adapter pins is too compelling …. the anticipation as the filaments start to glow …. solid-state, you’ll never offer this! ….
