What Speakers Do You Own?

Baby Advent II

I sold my original Advents years ago when I needed to downsize. Loved their sound but had no more room for large boxes. Infinity are used for the surround system, Cambridge for 2-channel audio as are the Baby Advents on the system setup for my mother. The JBL were used on my mini system but are currently just backups. If all goes well next year, I intend to reorganize and consolidate everything even further, hopefully replacing 2-channels with something better.

And Spendor 3/5SE's in the front with Linn Kans for the rear on the Linn Classik in the bedroom.

1) I've been in this hobby for quite some time,

2) I'm obviously an unrepentant gear hound, and

3) Once I've imported something to Cayman, it pretty much has to stay here for several practical reasons.

In sum, to ever resell anything large like speakers, I'd have to pay a 20% import duty (to bring them here), shipping costs 2 ways (into Cayman and then back to the US), plus airfare, car rental, and hotel costs to physically return to the US to receive the items that I've shipped back, not to mention the hassle of temporary storage and arranging to on-ship to the buyer when I'm not there to do it myself.

Of course, none of these costs are recoverable, so speakers that cost less than $10k end up in my closets after I've upgraded. I'd try to sell them locally, but really don't want all sorts of strange people wandering through my house, seeing all of my other gear, and then possibly getting bigger ideas.

If ever a trusted Head-Fi'er moves to Grand Cayman, I'd be willing to set him/her up with a pretty decent 2 channel or HT system at US-based (i.e, duty free) prices!

Solid built using 28mm MDF (2x 28mm some placed), weighing in at ~70kg per channel.
