Ah the good old days. I used to have a pair of KG's. I would really love to own the LaScalla's but don't know where I would put them (translation - I am married so I can't have anything that big). Now it is just HT speakers. Mirage in the living room and JBL in the den.

You should have seen/heard my wife's reaction when I carried (with my son's help - they weigh 135lbs each) the La Scala's into our house! Let's just say she wasn't too pleased.

She's not too thrilled about the Klipsch Cornwalls, which are pretty big as well, being in our dining room....

Yes the Minimus 7s are excellent speakers, considering their diminutive size! I've got a couple pair of them kicking around...

Hey tell her to be glad you didn't bring home Klipschorns. Those are beasts. I live about 2 hours from the original Klipsch factory (a barn) and can remember the first pair of K'horns I saw. It was in the early 70's and they were being driven by a 10w amp to prove how efficient they were. I could not believe the sound coming out of them. The La Scala's would be my ideal choice. They look just like a mini K'horn but the sound is amazing.

Cool that you live so close to the original Klipsch factory! I was going to buy a pair of used Klipschorns, but I just didn't have the room to put them anywhere. I hated turning them down!

Yes, they're very efficient. I've driven my La Scalas with a Trends T amp which is only about 6 watts and they sounded great. I have them hooked up to a Sansui AU-7900 (75 Watts per channel) and a VUUM tube amp which is only 13 watts per channel. They sound best with the 13 watt tube amp!

Also rocking some Klipsch Forte II's over here, fed with an HK 430. Ungodly setup for a total of about $420 (the Fortes were 400, the amp was free, plus the cost of a few capacitors to repair it).
