They're' one of my favorite bands.  What did you think?

I really enjoy this album. I bought it a few months back and this was the first thorough listen I had of it. I really enjoyed the flexibility the album had. Consistently changing their sound with each track is a new one on me. I just found out that one of my local stores has more of their albums, so I might just drop in and pick some more up when I can. They are really great!

I still haven't bought that… There, order placed.

It's Miku's 6th birthday today so it's pretty clear to me what I'm going to be listening to today. Happy birthday Miku!

I enjoyed the album more than Hobo, I hope you like it too!

And how can I forget? Happy Birthday Miku! : - )

Boris - New Album

If you're new to Boris, allow me to make a couple of recommendations:

Pink is regarded as one of their best-really a wide range of styles representing a lot of their flavors. One of my favorites. From what I've read, probably not as melodic or accessible. They go from stoner/doom, to punk noise rock, to pretty almost post rock passages. Smile is in a similar vein.

Amplifier Worship-quite different...an early Boris album from 98. Very much stoner doom-long, plodding drone/doom (think Sunn/early Earth) with some weird experimentation. Pretty cool stuff. Not nearly as varied as Pink.

I found some [legally] free, so-called high-resolution music from here:
http://www.cardas.com/music/tree/

The 24/96 FLAC version of the song sounds completely different from the 16/44 FLAC version. Looking at the waveforms in Audacity, the 16/44 track is mono! LOL
The 320 kbps MP3 version sounds better than the 16/44 version in that regards. I guess that's one way to trick you into thinking that 24/96 "sounds better" than 16/44. XD
