Fantastic Swedish prog rock from Beardfish. The influences are Yes, The Alex Harvey Band, Genesis, Frank Zappa, but they dont sound like any of them. It is so original and the musicianship and production are superb. Available on Spotify.

I'm a huge fan of prog. I saw Dream Theater in concert a few months ago, was amazing. Beardfish were supposed to open for Mastodon/Dethklok when I saw them on the 6th but I heard they had label problems and for that reason they were replaced (same with the other opening band). They were replaced by High On Fire and some other terrible band whose lead singer sounded like he was trying to expel his lungs from his body while singing...think the name was Convergence. Should I be disappointed I didn't get to hear Beardfish?
