THE ORIGINAL RHYTHM METHOD™
From the Limelight (NYC) to the Love Parade (Berlin) to Amsterdam, Rhythm Method have astounded audiences with their unique blend of spiritual psychedelia , fusion / funk, ethno-trance & ambient grooves. Veterans of the global love-ins and techno-rave circuit, Rhythm Method (brothers, Steven and Maurice Oliver) have toured rigorously over the past 8 years spreading their vibe of unity and oneness. Influenced by the latc 60's / early 70's psychedelic bands like Santana, Funkadelic and Jan Hammer, as well as, electronica pioneers such as Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, Kraftwerk,Tangerine Dream, Can, Kitaro, and even Moby, a good friend and early supporter, Rhythm Methods Steve and Maurice decided to forge new musical terrain. Using the spirtual as their guide and traditonal/ ethnic music as their base, these modern primitives are bridging the gap been live instrumentation and modern electronica. Similar acts like Deep Forest, Loop Guru,Transglobal Underground, Talvin Singh, and African Dub Syndicate, Rhythm Method has created a world sound where techno meets the tribal, Atari, and Macintosh computers meet African talking drums, Nigerian Udu drums meet programmed beats, and Chinese court musicians and Bantu pygmies give way to the words of Malcom X and other luminanes. The Dream Wanderers (their C&S Records' debut)
