Alabama Shakes' second album, Sound & Color, has been streaming on NPR Music since late last night. It's a great sophomore effort, expanding the band's musical scope while keeping their sound supremely focused and exciting at the same time. You can stream it here, and don't be put off by the relative restraint of Brittany Howard's voice during the first half of the album. Trust me, the release builds up to the full-throttle folk rock we all loved so much on Boys & Girls, and they're better than ever. I can't wait to rush out to the record store the minute it opens next Monday to get a copy for myself and hear it in all its glory on my own setup.

The Be Good Tanyas - I wish my baby was born.

This is probably my favourite acoustic music, and the whole album is really great if you are into this kind of music!

Yeah it's said you're supposed to listen to them like fifty times to fully understand it or something. All those random noises, minuscule details, etc. Yeah, I don't have time for that, but it'd be pretty cool.
