I'd just like to say thanks to Mike and team for the Version B Yggdrasil analog system. I received mine back from upgrade yesterday and can immediately tell the noise floor is lower, the bass resolution is improved, and the "analytical edge" to use an audiophoole term is gone without losing any details. The signal path is much improved and the thing sounds fantastic. Not that it sounded bad before, but it goes to show that even superb performance can be improved by smart designers. I intend to listen quite a bit today.
Agreed, before you could slightly hear the "matrix" -- now complete beautiful, untethered, soaring sound.

Well yet again I must give up any hope of making do with a Gumby and hold out for my eventual Yggy...
Why? Gumby is excellent and you could probably recoup the <ahem> investment.

Has a great setup... and a tuned pi/digione/bnc (helped him set it up). No usb, and requisite gen5 needed.

[QUOTE="Victor Martell, post: 14250412, member: 478773" You won't believe the flak that I get for being a prog fan - specially about those those who think that the 22 min "Close to the Edge" is the apex of musical sophistication -[/QUOTE]

Maybe not "Close to the Edge"... but "Suppers Ready" for sure !

I used to have three brains....................
The first one left and never came back...............
The second one went out looking for the first one, and never came back.......
The third one died of loneliness........ :triportsad:
