Of course....and most people mispronounce the word as well. 99 percent of the time I hear people pronounce it like they would the word "timber".

For Americans - Merriam Webster "... And timbre may also be correctly pronounced just like timber ...",
but not for Brits :)

On their website. I did get the phobetic symbology wrong, and now it’s listed as a non-standard pronunciation, but it’s there...
