I think the W4 are a good option to consider for those that wanted to like the 530/535 but couldn't quite get what they were hoping for.

Do you think the mids on the W4 are at all forward or similar to the Shure's mids?

They are sweet, lush and a bit forward, but nowhere near as forward as the SE535.

I don't agree with him in the least bit.

Why so?

I'm lost now.

Simply put I found W4 not so forward as SE535 or 530 that's why I think they can be considered slightly(!) recessed compared to Shures.
I'd like to point out that probably each of us is using different type of tip. While the sound differes extremely by changing a tip we will not make a compromise here.

My W4 Warranty Card just reached Westone USA.I just got a confirmation email from them.
Their customer service is Great, that's why i allways choose Westone.! year when you register online+another 1 year when you send the warranty card to them.Very happy with those, do they need 24 h hours burn in?The sound is better and better IMHO.
400 $ CAD for W4 with 2 years international warranty isn't bad at all is it?

Do you only receive a warranty card when you purchase from Westone or is it included with every W4 model?
Thanks

How do you get the warranty card? Is it not included anymore?

I'm not sure about the warranty card but I did get a CD where you can register online instead of sending something in.

Can someone speak to how these fit vs. RE0 with small or medium black tips? The RE0 fits me perfectly with the regular, soft black tips (not the comply type). Flanges usually are no good for me. I'm just wondering if I could swap the tips I like from the RE0 onto the Westone 4 and it would work.

The nozzle on the W4 is much smaller than the RE0. If your fitment with the RE0 is good, you may want to invest in the Olives if you pull the W4.

What're the olives? I'm not sure what you're indicating...will the w4 fit me well at all if the RE0 fits well?

Edit: http://store.shure.com/store/shure/en_US/pd/productID.105436100

Those? They'll fit like the small/medium RE0 black rubbery tips?

The warranty is on CD included.I think IMHO the CD has a code when you install it on your pc, so i think it can be used only once, anyway when you register your W4 online you get 1 year, and for the extra 1 year, print the card fill it in with your detailed and send it to Westone Colorado.
Hope this helps, Levi
PS.You will get 2 years international warranty only if you buy from a Authorized Westone Dealer.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you get them for that price?

Looks like fulcrumaudio.ca has them for $392.07. I've got a feeling they will change the price once they have sold a few.
