Mine went from "being lost somewhere between continents" last night, to being "out for delivery" right now. It looks like I'll have them to play with today. Cool!

Lucky you. Mine is at customs, has been for days. Hopefully it makes it's way here soon.

Still no update on mine besides the "dispatched to another country". I'd think that USPS is just being a pain in the ass with updating the online site. I wonder if it has signature confirmation or if I will just find it in my apartment box.

Mine were at the same status as yours last night. And then this morning was "Item processed at local delivery facility". I know that there were a few tracking steps missed, so yes, my guess is that USPS is pulling the same stunts on you.

For those who already have these headphones, how do they compare to VSonic's GR06 and VC02? I need help deciding between these.

Mine arrived today and I've only had the chance to enjoy them for a couple of hours. Initial impression is that they have more bass than the GR06 but less than the GR99. The mids and clairity of the GR06  is also absent but they have more body and is very enjoyable. I would definetly say that they're better then the GR99. So far I would say that they're on par with the GR06 but with pretty different sound.

Haven't heard the VC02 so I can't help with that.

I feel that they're no way near my CKN70's.

Please remember that these are very early impressions.

I got my pair today. Registered, so I had to sign for it. Tracking was good for me all the way through:)

That VSD1 lettering is only on one side and a pretty dark gray. Seems pretty funny now cause It even disappears in the light due to the reflective nature of the shells. A non-issue for me. I know I can't see it and I really doubt anyone else will unless they are holding them and looking them over.

I didn't like the narrow silicone tips so I put the 3580 tips on them and they sound good. I then put my CKP tips on them. They can with some phones give better sub-bass reach. They did the trick. Better sub bass reach than either the XBA-40 or the first ever batch of GR07 I had. So, I'm happy there. They won't extend as far as those phones in the treble.

The design seems to allows better tuning of the sound than the GRxx body style. You can take on or take off some bass, or better put, change the most seal you can get. I've already learned how to aim them to take off a bit of bass. They haven't run in yet but they are capable of pretty big bass. Explained why one report showed them as fairly balance and another had them as quite bassy. All makes a bit more sense now.

Still a bit of the VSONIC dryness is present in the mids. Cool, clean and clear on the mids.Well separated and very intelligible just not very sweet or lush.

The bass needs to run in but it goes low enough, is fairly tight and controlled out of the box, and leaves the mids alone unless you go for the most seal(maybe bigger tips even) and then they can warm the lower mids some. Good timbre ad some detail down low but still sounds like it hasn't cleaned up and layered out yet.

Can't say too much about the treble vs. other Vsonic models except for it reach extends further than the GR02 and not as far as the GR07. Balanced better than the treble tipped early GR07 and nicely more present than the GR02(silver version, I have not heard). A good amount to match with most players. Shouldn't offend those who don't like bright phones and still enough to satisfy those who like some treble and don't want smoothed over or dark. Some nice clarity up top and good detail and transparency. Sibilance is held in check unless the source is bright one. Still, any change with burn in may yet tame it a bit. A little bit of a peak, just to my ears, accentuating cymbals a bit. Not in a bad way though. Those familiar with the CKN70 won't find the VSD1 as troublesome with peaks or brightness.

Early on but a fine little phone for a great price that, as has been mentioned already, makes a great all rounder. Some bass and fun and some nice technical ability as well.

Great impressions jant71 - you're good! I immediately threw on the double flanged tips and they fit very well. They do sound very similar to the gr07be's (although I will provide more impressions on that later once they are burned in more). But yeah, they sound great - and that's even without 5000 hours of burn in!

Other things I like about them:
- I like the form factor and finish.
- they are fairly flush so I can lay my head down with them
- adjustable nozzles (pretty cool feature in an iem of this price)
- really happy that they can be worn down

And finally... that comic sans font is awesome! :)

Thanks Wayne!

How are you people wearing them? I notice the raised dot(standard for designating left) and it seems to makes sense that way as both over the ear and straight down work fine this way. They don't fit flush this way though. I have to go check the channels on these things, lol, to make sure.

Yeah, I told you it looks fresh

. Anyway I'm still cooking mine. I should pick some of the next days to give more in-depth impressions. Possibly a day when I'm not drinking. Btw, for some reason I had issues setting the right nozzle at the perfect position and I finally did it - it took me so much time of slightly pushing it in all directions and all the vodka I drank didn't particularly help with the task LOL

The raised dot is on the right piece, which is odd as usually manufacturers put the raised dots on the left one

Yep, odd about that dot. I also had the right nozzle "issue". Kept getting a bit more bass in the right ear till I finally got them aimed right.

Also suprised the font was mentioned but them having a nickel plated plug wasn't. I thought for sure we'd hear "my $4 pair have a gold plated cable...."

Nah, no one cares about that. And it's the exact same cable and plug vsonic uses for the VC02, so most people knew what to expect.

Well got my VSD1's today, geko you'll like these they are good for trance, admttedly the EHP100's might edge it, i'll see how these burn in.

I'm floored no one has mentioned you can move the nozzle around. The bane of phones with such a fit is they're fixed, so experience has taught me to be wary of such phones.

Not these, they are extremely comfortable, especially when using the foam tips, of which i currently love purple they sit in nice and deep just the way i like it.

Bass is indeed, well i wouldn't call it bloated but it could do with being a touch tighter,
but mids are excellent slightly forward id say, with treble sitting back but still there when needed much like the yammies.

For the money they're very hard to beat, not sure if i have a phone at similar value that touches them, these could fetch double easily i reckon.

I would love to know what comply tips for these, im thinking Tx400's? probably in a small id imagine, then again i used to use mediums with my super fi's

Really, I though everyone knew they had adjustable nozzles? I'm still burning-in mine - should be around 50 hours now. The bast does get tighter and also it is tip dependent and I wouldn't be using foam tips with the VSD1 - the bass already has any power as it is and the highs aren't exactly the sparkliest to constrict the treble more with foam.
