 the bass on X2 (I found the X1 bass a tad bloated on a few of my demo tracks).

 
Yes it is... The voice has more character and the sound is more forward. But for me the bass is in few songs too much. The X2 has a very natural sounding..very smooth and light. The bass on the X1 destory a bit the Sounding.

I haven't heard the Adel A12, but I've demoed the K10 and Roxanne.  The X2 is brighter than the Roxanne and to my ears has a more analytical sound (in a good way).  It's also brighter than the K10, but not as much as the Roxanne and just as detailed.  I preferred the X2 to both of them, but I don't like very warm earphones and the sound signatures are quite different.  I would say the X2 is a great alternative to something like the UERM.

That sounds interesting. Any more information such as no of BA? I cannot find the information related to Stage 7 from their website.
