One question though. If there is a better one(the Biggie) and the lower performance one(the Smalls) why would they both be $40 for either one of them. Seems the Smalls is not as good in sound or value as who wants to pay the same price for a lower model as a higher(even if only slightly higher) one.

Clearly for soneone with distinguishing taste sound quality is more important than going for the option to not require an amp to drive.

Possible, because the Monk IEs are so small, but not recommended. Isolation takes a hit because of poor fit (YMMV), and it doesn't feel as comfortable as over-ear.

l beg to differ... choose the right ear tip, fitting should be equally good no matter how they are worn.

am fitting them with spinfit cp100 ear tip, which offers even better seal and comfort..

Will compare in a vid. Using foam tips on both for good seal. Fit is great. Using another cable just to see if i can.

I think for biggie it might be good to leak a little~ (so won't recommend with foams for biggie for sure lol)

personally, I prefer small black tip for smalls, and mid-size white tip ( wide vent size) for biggie , hope it helps ~

Question: are these regular mmcx connectors? Although I'd probably want to use the supplied cables to get the most out of them, I have a mmcx bluetooth cable on order and I'm wondering if they would work with it.

I placed my order. I placed duplicate orders because I am a spaz, but hopefully I’ll get these soon because I have given away a few pair of monks to my Apple earbud or Bluetooth millennial colleagues. They may never become audiophiles or join this site, but at least they were given a chance to step up…. Gotta keep trying! The kids don’t know better, it is sad.
