Poweramp has eq, you´ll be fine. I would definitely go with the M-100. Specially with the kind of music you listen to. I was trying those songs without EQ, and they sounded marvelous.

The only thing that can concern you is the comfort, I hope you read about that. Big ears is a problem with these cans.

Hey guys, long time no see and sorry for going silent for the last little while. I really didn't have much more to add so as far as I was concerned there wasn't any reason to waste page space. After today though I have a little more to add to the M-100 thread. Today I went to a head-fi meet in my city and had a chance to hear my M-100 paired off with the Schiit M&M stack. For 200 bones it's a great setup and pairs very well with the M-100. For those M-100 owners on the fence concerning the M&M stack I say go for it. The M-100 and the M&M is a very very nice pairing and you won't regret the end result.

How was the volume level of the M-100's with the MM stack? It has a higher gain (I believe it was over a 3.0x gain) than my configurations for the O2 and I find the O_O combo to be quite loud if the source volume is high and the potentiometer is past the channel imbalance region.

Is there any problem with hissing from the M&M and M-100 combo? I've been on the fence about the M&M stack for months.

Original text removed Everyone just buy an O2 because the minions say you should

I think mine is on average. Just hope it doesn't hurt because I wear glasses.

M-100 does a great job with female vocals, slightly recessed for male vocals.

Umm, not a big deal then.

You guys are really convincing me to get one of these

I've been really enjoying the M-100 paired to my C5. My M-100's purchase was strictly intended for the winter season - for spring/summer I will replace the M-100 with a universal IEM. My SE535 Special Edition provides similar clarity, but lacks bottom end in comparison to my M-100.

Does anyone have a suggestion for universal IEM that mimics the M-100's sound quality & signature?

I think that would be difficult, but I guess you can try the UE900 or W4R if you already liked the SE535.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I am actually quite interested in those two and will find some time during the week to give them a try.
