Hello! It's been a while and I've been away from the audio scene due to personal reasons. I am looking to purchase a dongle with good sound and 2.5mm output jack if available (not a must have) at around $50. My IEMs/Headphones either have a flat or Harman target tuning. So any dongle that compliments such a tuning would be a welcome suggestion.

Thanks in advance! :)

I think it makes a ton of sense to discuss pros and cons from the point of view of the reviewer. As a reader you can query the author on their thoughts, but the author should most definitely call it as they see it. Anything else is intellectually dishonest.

Some of the cons may be in the nature of a small dongle, but they remain cons. Potential buyers will weigh those cons against the pros and make their own decisions.

The 2.5mm requirement is tough. Shanling had a modestly priced unit like that and you might find it around still. I thought it was mediocre and was susceptible to noise from the phone.

The FIIO Q3-MQA had 2.5mm and is fairly cheap on Amazon ($90).

But 2.5mm is old and requiring that throws you into older technology.

There are many choices around if you drop the 2.5mm request. I no longer fish in those waters but many here do.

An adaptor like this may open up more options: https://www.moon-audio.com/cayin-ph...SOveroHsCeuHeZWGHBfDHMrF2lPU9ingaAhk3EALw_wcB

I'm okay to drop 2.5mm as a constraint, it is not a hard requirement.

Is Ibasso the only one with an Y cable usable for DACs? I can't remember seeing others before but I actually would need a Y cable that has 3 USB-C males

Luxury & Precision WY1 has three USB-C males
Thank you! But I Can't find a place to buy these? It also seems to be a bit long. Wouldn't mind it being shorter as well
