The only thing I want iBasso could improve on DC04 Pro is the device configuration memory, I have an Android phone to configure it but DC04 Pro does not save that configuration, it only affects if connected to that Android phone again, or it always stays at default configuration.
If it's of interest to anyone, some time ago, I opened a comparison thread or rather impressions on the 4 dongles I was trying. The W1, RU6, DC04PRO, RU7 and M15.
I thought they were Japanese yen... but then how much is this price in euros? More than 8000 euros???
66,000 Chinese yen is 8,526 euros... if that's really the case I don't think they'll sell many... maybe none.
In fact, maybe they will sell three: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.
On sale or second hand I’d consider it. There’s 11/11 sales here in China at the moment and the M12 is going for around 82 USD, which isn’t bad. Mind you, I haven’t heard many of the cheap options around now, like the FiiO KA13, which is a similar price.
There is something special about the Questyle current mode amplification, it renders transients very well; things like the quick snap of a snare drum come across even more realistic than many other sources.
Then again, the CMA18 Portable should be out soon. It will no doubt be more expensive than the M12 but devices with built-in battery do tend to sound better than a USB-powered dongle, so maybe I’d even just save the money and put it towards the CMA18.

The article posted seems Chinese... so I imagine they are Chinese, but if so it would be the equivalent amount with which you can buy 5 X DX320s, and it is dangerously close to that for buying a Chord DAVE and therefore (for me) it would not have any makes sense to buy it. But it could also probably be a journalistic typo. We'll see... but for 8500 euros I would never buy a dongle... it can sound whatever it wants but for me it stays on the shelf.

Yes but you would only have one DAC with a single musical signature, however with various dongles you have various signatures to choose from, this is the thing I love most about dongles... an M15 doesn't sound like an RU7 and a W4 doesn't sound like a RU6. In addition to this, having the separation of power and data in the USB (thanks to the hub) is something that increases their performance exponentially. In the end the basic kit to try costs 40 euros (with a 10k powerbank), not much to try what the dongles can do. I did it and at home it's incredibly convenient, in addition to listening to them at their best you don't have to worry about how long your cell phone battery lasts.
Derp ! I couldn't get it to work but took another look at your pics. I had the tail of the hub going to the wrong thing. Ignore my plea for help if you saw it. I deleted it just now. This is a great idea. You should get some credit for this !

It would be a good start if you wrote what you think of the improvement in listening and whether you think there has been. Many have distrusted what I wrote (the usual audio professors), but I don't care, I just wanted to help anyone who wanted to try to improve their dongles. This is enough for me, after all if I signed up on a forum it was precisely to share what I was learning and learn things I didn't know. That's all.

And you're telling me this at this time??? You gave me a very bad morning... I thought I would never buy it... LOL
I had seen the Chinese flag on the article you posted and I thought it was the Chinese currency... I still don't read Chinese... although it seemed like a really high price... better that way. Now we just have to wait for it to arrive in stores.
