USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

In all these discussions and recommendations i am assuming everyone is referring to the 4.4mm?

I would think the vast majority of us discussing dongles here are using the 4.4mm output. There are a few 2.5mm dongle still out there in production and some 3.5mm only ones too but they’re starting to become rare at this point. 4.4mm seems to be the standard now if you’re into USB dongle dac/amps.

Yep, quite limited selection, hardly clear reasoning (to me at least) and then if BHD pro is available for $45 - it is just of the disruptive value, including making this comparison obsolete...
Mine BHD pro in the local post office - hope to get it soon!
Where did you get the BHD Pro for $45 ?
It's listed at $89.90 on Tempotec's website (and out of stock) and 103€ on Aliexpress.

Good people spread the word.
Worked for me (ask the Tempotec in AE, got the code, I bought from them quite a bit before and really rate them high in all aspects) :)

I will be honest roughly 90% of the terminology being used here is going right over my head. Its part of the reason i held on to crappy old Samsung phone for so long... it still had the headphone jack.

Can anyone give me some recommendations for dongles for cell phone use (pixel 6a) either 4.4mm or 3.5mm if any are worth checking out, and I will go off and do my own research on them as well as..... this entire dongle adaptor thing that and what i need to know about it.

Been using Beyer Dynamics Soul Byrds since 2019. They are one of the very few IEMs that I am able to wear comfortably for extended periods of time. Once I found them i just stuck with em and didnt get a chance to look at other IEMS.
I also have a old old pair of over ear Sennheizers that i still use occasionally.

You should be able to drive those comfortably using the Apple dongle.

Really. I had the Apple dongle on my list to look at but all the info I had found about being good was from like 2019. Then i started doing more research and saw all the new info and products and figured the apple would be... out competed, even though i know my hedphones are not... top of the line i guess is the phrase i would be looking for.

ddHifi released their new TC44PRO, now fully balanced with dual CS43131, quite a jump in size compared to the TC44A, but still very compact.
I don't need it... but i want it ! I love ddHifi design and craftsmanship 😍
