I've been wondering why the Chronos isn't talked about much. It sounds great!
Because it is expensive compared with the Chi-fi competition and on paper not very powerful.
Although it drives my HD660s with headroom at 3/4 of the available volume.
Sound is amazing, worth every cent.

Hey there. Def wasnt able to replace the usb-c connector on my dc03. They dont color shield their wires apparently. . . So now im looking for a dac/amp for use with android, pc AND ps4 pro. I really like the sound from the cs43131 but i've also had a pee51, and the cs43139 is nice and creamy. I did NOT like the hiby FC3. Any suggestions?

P.S. If anyone wants to buy a barely used Hiby FC3 pm me. . .

Is there anything better (3.5mm, single ended) than iBasso DC02? I use DC02 with Vorzuge Vorzamp Pure 2 so I do not need it to amplify a lot, I am interested only in the decoder (DAC) side of the dongle. I want it to be charged via USB port like DC02, to be constructed in the same way as DC02 (not as dragonflies as usb stick) and be really upgrade not snake oil.

Today I used my AKG K702 on several different DACs. Surprisingly my K702 only sounds good on a few of them. So far I like how it sounds on my Shanling UA1.

Can anyone recommend a USB DAC for this headphone?
I am not that surprised - my K702s only sound great with a lot of power. So for mobile listening I converted them to balanced, as dongles and DAPs tend to have more power in balanced mode. The Shanling UA1 strikes me as underpowered for the AKGs, although it has more juice than many dongles...

For some reason the bass is more defined and stronger then on my desktop Amp. Don't know why.

I usually don't listen to loud music so I'm fine with having the UA1 at 60-80% volume.
