Volume control maybe, because my phone's volume controls are inaccurate. By the way, do I need to use UAPP for the music to be handled by the dongle, not the phone?
Depends.
I ordered the Soundmagic A30 which does volume and track control and apparently doesn't need uapp.it is arriving any day and in Canada cost me about 37$ or roughly 30$us.
Figure for the price it is nice option given feature set. But if you were driving bigger headphones you would need more juice.

And what about pure sound quality? Is there such a thing as TOTL dongle? 😅

That is tricky one but most with the Cirrus logic chip seem to have no coloration of the sound and likely your IEM will affect what you hear much more than the DAC amp
i agreed 🐰

Has anyone tried TFZ DC.01 dongle? It sure is damn cheap but build quality looks nice. Priced reasonably well to compete with Sonata HD.

I have the ibasso dc04 and find that it works perfectly with my galaxy s10 (Exynos) and Sony ier-m9.

I then bought the dc03 to use with other IEMs which don't have have the 4.4mm end or need the power however the galaxy phone does not recognise it outside of leaving it plugged In and resetting (hardly user friendly).

Very perplexing that one doesn't miss a beat and the other not recognised! Both are updated to current firmware.
