All of these three are very similar CS43131 implementations using the integrated amp. The Dawn Pro has dual CS43131 which adds balanced capability.
I found blon V1 cheaper than dawn pro which also offers bal output facility. I use it occasionally😊

have this one ... too warmish for me .. I personally like flat or U shaped
Feel more warmish to you? I'm actually not sure if my unit has their latest firmware update or not because this unit doesn't seem too much on the warmer side of what I would call warm-neutral.
If you are looking for flat or u shape then you can check out epz tp50.
Anyway, have it in your arsenal already?

The list is quite long... this is a pic that I have taken a few months ago when I was in the middle of A/B testing

Trying to decide between this and the JCALLY JM20. The benefit of the Moondrop is it's available in the UK.

Does the Moondrop Dawn Pro have any sound colourisation, or is it also flat?

Thank you for all the responses guys.

My ears have not noticed any colorization and it certainly measures flat. Perhaps others can chime in as well - I haven't heard all of the suggested devices myself.

so far im positively surprised by the fiio KA15, considering all its features (display, full featured menue without the need for a app, EQ) and sound quality i probably would take it over the moondrop dawn pro any day (42 euro vs 120 euro in germany, the thing is 120 euro is still fairly low budget)

imo the CS43198 + opamp implementation shows in better sound quality and its not much larger than the moondrop dawn pro (tho some might be looking for something thats not much bigger than a apple donge...)

overall the fiio KA15 definitely brought me closer to the black lion audio interface sound signature (or my previous class A headphone amp for that matter), which the moondrop dawn pro didnt quite managed todo (it definitely feels like its a bit more brittle/thin sounding than more powerful amps), pretty isolated view on just a few devices since i usually dont do much listening of new devices so i cant really comment on all the different small dongles, atleast for me the case on CS43131 vs CS43198 + opamp seems pretty clear in the end

the question imo is also, for what its the moondrop dawn pro is fairly big, mainly because it features balanced out too, if you are interested in CS43131 i would probably just use a smaller dongle with only single ended out, i think they can be had for 20-30 euros

the sound signature of all these CS chips (CS43131 and CS43198) remind me definitely of the bla interface which also has a CS chip with a similar implementation ( same filters and same noise rise above 40khz in measurements ) so there might be something to the general CS implementation vs ESS chips which i overall definitely prefer (even if i prefer the fiio KA15 over the moondrop now since output stage seems to matter too)

the "Class AB/H" switch inside the fiio KA15 was fairly audible, class AB gives you thicker/smoother bass and smoother highs (for me it sounded like your usual class AB vs class D comparison)
its a feature of the dac chip made available which not many companys seem to utilize.... so +1 for implementation
